King's Town
Following the Inferno, the inhabitants of Arvelas started to rebuild. The largest gathering of survivors was lead by Pharon de Griffith, who was a knight of noble blood. He renamed the site selected for their new lives as King's Town, as he claimed: "Here will live and reign the grandest kings of Arvelas."
After only a few years of construction, the city was already starting to be known as one of the most beautiful in the world. As the city grew, Pharon was proclaimed king. Sadly, his ambition grew with the city, and he pushed the construction until his death in the year 61 following the Inferno.
Albeit his obession, Pharon was a good and fair ruler, and the first in a respected line of kings. King's Town continued to grow in the centuries following its inception, until it became both the mother city of Istagon and one of the most impressive city in Arvelas.
The Griffiths ruled until the city fell in the War of the Deads. A large statue depicting each ruler was erected on the main street of the city, known as the Road of Kings.
The death knight Yar Sultar and his legion of undead attack King's Town in 755, after having ravaged half of Istagon. Yar was stopped by his own son, Tlefyr Darioh, as well as the archwizards Askia Zaporavo and Sage Fidès, the elven princess Aléatha Kanan and the dwarven warrior Kafnar. His defeat came too late, though, as the city was already destroyed. Most of the inhabitants who survived migrated north, toward Kélite and Tiras Lynn. Separated from the northern part of Istagon, Erlinia declared independence. The undead stayed and continue to haunt what is now known as the Heart of Istagon.
